Welcome to Dresden's oldest Hostel!

Dresden's oldest Youth Hostel is located in an Art Nouveau-style villa not far from the university. It's in Dresden's Südvorstadt area, just a ten-minute walk south of the main station, in the so-called "Swiss Quarter". The Hostel has a lovely cosy atmosphere in the centre of this large city.

The Youth Hostel is located about 1 km south of the city centre in the quiet "Swiss Quarter".

Guests sleep in 1-/2-/3-/4-/5-/6-bed rooms with no en-suite shower/WC. These rooms are of course all equipped with wash-hand basins (hot and cold running water). Toilets are found on every floor, while showers are located centrally in the lower ground floor of the small building. In addition to a garden with barbecue area and table tennis, we also have a cosy foyer area, a club and dining room as well as a rustic basement bar.

Our tips for your stay

Very close to "Kroko-Fit" leisure centre; guided walks to Schloss Moritzburg through the Lößnitzgrund valley with a visit to the riding centre; day trip to the Moritzburg, a baroque castle complete with wildlife enclosure and adventure park; day trip to Radebeul (Karl May Museum, narrow-gauge railway approx. 16 km); day trip to Meißen, with its porcelain manufactory, cathedral and Albrechtsburg Castle; day trip to "Saxon Switzerland", great for walking; annual Karl May Festival held over several days.
