Holidays in the middle of nature

Family holiday on the Baltic Sea

Our Youth Hostel is located in Darßer Forest, right between the lagoons and the Baltic Sea. It's easy to get to the Darß-Zingst Peninsula by bike from here. Take your family and friends on a trip through wild and beautiful natural surroundings and feel yourself truly unwind. Climb to the top of the lighthouse in the Darß and enjoy the endless seascape. If you like art, visit the artists' colony in Ahrenshoop. Or perhaps you would rather take a walk through the traditional fishing villages and discover the hustle and bustle of the modern spas. From there, you can go down onto the long, beautiful beaches, full of life during the summer months. They are the place to meet, chat, sunbathe, build sand castles, stroll, bathe, swim, splash around, fly kites and surf. The perfect scenario for a family holiday at the Baltic Sea.

These are the main appeals of Born-Ibenhorst Youth Hostel:

  • It offers the perfect accommodation for a family holiday on the Baltic Sea
  • It is surrounded by the unique Western Pomeranian Lagoon Area National Park
  • Enjoy a holiday close to nature on the peninsula of Fischland-Darß-Zingst

We love nature!

The forest in the Western Pomeranian Lagoon Area National Park is our home. We share it with lots of plants and animals. Some of them are native to this region. Others use it as a resting spot between migrations. All of them teach us a very important lesson. Together is the only way life can work. Together is the only way we can have fun. That is the reason why nature is so important to us. And that is why we want to protect it. Together with you.
